The Hampton Classic Horse Show began a week-long celebration of its 50th anniversary in Bridgehampton, NY with special ceremonies and elite equestrian competitions featuring international participants in various categories. VIP guests on hand for opening day were Donna Karan and granddaughter Stephania de Felice, Queen Angelique-Monet of Eti-Oni, Molly Simms and New York State representative, Rebecca Seawright.
Outside of the show rings, families enjoyed unique shopping and yummy dining in the Agneta Currey Boutique Garden and on Stable Row; hands-on activities, pony rides and petting zoo animals at the Kids Exhibition Tent; and many more fun activities will take place during Kids Day (Saturday, August 30).
The stellar horse show features show jumping and premier hunter competitions with more than $1 million in prize money. The highlight of the week is the $400,000 Longines Hampton Classic 5 Grand Prix, one of the world’s premier show jumping competitions in the world.
