Ethan Hawke walked the red carpet at The Hamptons International Film Festival, as part of the ‘A Conversation With’ series moderated by Alison Stewart: Host of All of It with Alison Stewart on WNYC. The brilliant actor and screenwriter is promoting his ninth collaboration with academy award winning director, Richard Linklater; BLUE MOON.
Hawke delivers a magnetic and masterful performance as Lorenz Hart (of musical collaborators Rogers & Hart fame) in the one act film that takes place in a single evening at the renowned Sardis’s restaurant.
Over nearly four decades, Hawke has continually reshaped his screen identity in acclaimed work that includes TRAINING DAY and BOYHOOD (for which he was nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actor). In addition to his credit, the BEFORE trilogy, and FIRST REFORMED, for which he earned both Gotham and Independent Spirit Awards. Plus Hawke has earned over 30 critics prizes—including the rare trifecta of Best Actor honors from the New York Film Critics Circle, Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and National Society of Film Critics. What’s next? He will be staring in Sterlin Harjo’s FX drama The Lowdown.
Across every genre and format, Hawke remains a fearless, ever-evolving screen artist.
