NYC Second Chance Rescue will host its 5th Annual Concert for a Cause on Friday, August 21, 2026, at an exclusive private estate in Bridgehampton, bringing together music, philanthropy and a shared commitment to improving the lives of animals in need.
This year’s event will honor legendary entrepreneur, philanthropist and longtime animal advocate John Paul DeJoria for his dedication to charitable causes and animal welfare.
“It is an honor to be recognized by NYC Second Chance Rescue,” said DeJoria. “Their compassion, dedication and commitment to animals are truly inspiring, and I am grateful to be part of an evening that will help so many animals in need.”
DeJoria will also introduce Pawpoint, a new science-based canine wellness company focused on helping dogs live healthier, more vibrant lives. By targeting key biological pathways associated with inflammation and oxidative stress, Pawpoint is designed to support healthy aging, immune balance, cellular health and overall vitality, helping dogs maintain resilience and long-term well-being.
Adding star power to the evening, Grammy Award-winning artist Ashanti and platinum-selling artist Fabolous will headline the concert, while Celina Savage will perform during the cocktail reception.
Founded in 2009 by Jennifer Brooks and Lisa Blanco, NYC Second Chance Rescue has rescued more than 17,000 homeless, abused, neglected and critically injured dogs and cats. The nonprofit has built its mission around helping animals facing some of the greatest challenges—particularly critically injured and medically complex cases, senior and hospice animals, large-breed dogs and vulnerable cats that may otherwise struggle to find lifesaving care.
The annual Concert for a Cause serves as both a celebration and an important fundraising opportunity, helping NYC Second Chance Rescue continue providing medical treatment, rehabilitation, shelter and ultimately new beginnings for animals in need.
