Opening Night of The Tribeca Film Festival ‘Mistaken For Strangers’


Opening Night of The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) was filled with anticipation and excitement as the Stars and VIPs hit the Red Carpet. Celebrating not only the beginning one of the worlds most prestigious Film Festivals but the premier of Tom Berninger’s (director), wonderful rockumentary ‘Mistaken For Strangers’ about his older brother’s (Matt) Indie band ‘The National’ and his own self discovery. Guests including Robert De Niro, Liza Minnelli Ricard Belzer, Ari Graynor, Adam Goldman, Josh Radnor and Mira Sorvino swarmed to see the film and support their favorite Film Festival. When asked why she came, Ms. Minnelli said. “When my friend DeNiro, Bobby calls, I come… and where else can you have so much fun?”

The TFF is a diverse international film festival that promotes NYC as a major filmmaking center and helps filmmakers present to audiences from around the world who come to the City to experience the power of cinema. Founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff after the attacks on the World Trade Center, to foster the revitalization of lower Manhattan through a celebration of film, music and storytelling.
