Summer is in full swing at The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach, where the beachfront is coming alive every Wednesday night with the all-new Sunset Concert Series – a free, live music event happening now through July 30, 2025.
Locals and visitors alike can kick back in the sand, enjoy incredible live bands playing everything from rock to pop, and indulge in tasty eats and beachy drinks – all capped off with a fireworks display lighting up the Gulf Coast sky.
Each week, a new band takes the stage right on the beach, serving up a mix of rock, country, pop, and crowd-favorite classics. Guests can also grab delicious bites and drinks from the fan-favorite Tacos & Tequila food truck, offering up loaded nachos, tacos three ways, and signature sips like the Private Islandrita – made with The Island’s exclusive Private Barrel Patron Reposado Tequila – or the refreshing Pineapple Mint Margarita.
The series kicked off with a bang on May 28 with the Bacardi Beach Bash, the official launch party for The Island’s summer concerts. The evening featured live music from Shenanigans, fireworks, beach vibes, Bacardi cocktail specials, and the popular Bacardi Blender Bike – where guests literally pedaled their way to frozen cocktails. Concertgoers also had the chance to enjoy a shrimp boil feast alongside the show.
“We thought the concert series was the perfect addition to the long-time summer tradition of Wednesday night fireworks,” says Ken Trumbull, General Manager of The Island Resort. “Come for the concerts, stay for an array of delicious bites and cold drinks, and end the night with a front-row seat to the fireworks!”

The Sunset Concert Series is completely free to attend, with food and drinks available for purchase. Locals and guests can even turn it into an all-day beach experience with a Day Pass or private Cabana Rental.
