Joselli Rojas discovered his calling at a young age. Growing up in the Philippines, he was scouted to model at just 15, and soon found himself representing the couture of iconic Filipino designer Aureo Alonso across Europe. It was a formative experience that taught him the power of confidence, presence, and storytelling through appearance.
Returning home, Rojas continued to pursue modelling, landing ad campaigns and even being offered an acting opportunity in Australia. He also competed in Body Shots, a local male pageant. Though he didn’t win, he realized that pageantry was where his heart truly belonged.
Yet, family expectations pushed him to step away. He joined the family business temporarily before moving to the United States, taking on jobs in healthcare to support himself. But his passion never faded.
In 2022, Rojas embraced the opportunity to become National Director of Manhunt International USA. ‘The journey wasn’t always smooth,” he reflects, ‘But I knew in my heart that this was where I was meant to be. Not as a model or contestant, but as someone who discovers and nurtures talent, like polishing rough stones into sparkling gems.’
This vision led to the creation of The Authority Productions (TAP), a platform for aspiring models and pageant contestants to grow and succeed globally. Rojas identifies talent through chance encounters, referrals, and online searches. ‘I conduct interviews and really get to know where they’re at emotionally and mentally. The right person needs more than just a look. They need self-confidence, social skills, perseverance, and the drive to reach their goals,’ he explains.
TAP winners often continue their development through TAMM Agency. ‘I don’t just prepare them to win, I take care of them long after the crown,’ he says. Rojas is also determined to change perceptions of pageantry in the U.S., highlighting its global prestige: ‘International contests are followed like the Olympics in some countries. It’s an honourable pursuit, and far from being just about beauty.’
TAP now represents male and female talent with national franchises for Miss Earth, Miss International, and Miss Aura, though it initially specialized in male pageantry. Rojas’ early success proved his skill in recognizing and nurturing talent.
‘There’s a misconception that pageantry and modelling are superficial or easy,’ he says. ‘But just like any profession, it demands hard work, sacrifice, and a high level of professionalism.’
Rojas hopes his work leaves a legacy. ‘I hope to be remembered as someone who helped pave the way for others, especially young men and women, to realize and achieve their aspirations and dreams. More than anything, I want to be known as someone who, in my own humble way, made the world just a little more beautiful.’
Through TAP, Joselli Rojas continues to empower talent worldwide, proving that opportunity, guidance, and dedication can transform potential into lasting achievement.
