Amanda Peet, Judd Hirsch, Matthew Shear (who made his directorial debut) along with Hamptonite, Bob Balaban walked the red carpet at the Hamptons International film Festival, for the film, ‘Fantasy Life’. The movie follows an anxiety ridden and out of work Sam (Shear), who agrees to join his psychiatrist’s family as a nanny for the summer on Martha’s Vineyard. Sam meets his ward’s mother (Peet), a middle-aged actress in a less than satisfying marriage and the 2 form an intimate bond.
This charming comedy explores themes of self-doubt and self-discovery and features a stellar ensemble cast that also includes Alessandro Nivola, Andrea Martin, Zosia Mamet, and Holland Taylor. A Greenwich Entertainment release, ‘Fantasy Life’ won the SXSW Audience Choice Award and a Special Jury Award for Peet’s performance.
