The Annual Great Chefs Dinner

By Heather Bryce & Lauren Clarke-Bennett

For the ninth year in a row, the Great Chefs Dinner drew a stellar crowd of Hampton’s foodies to benefit Jeff’s Kitchen and the Jeff Salaway Scholarship Fund. The event was hosted by Toni Ross, of Nick & Toni’s, the watering hole of Hampton celebrities and owner of The Hayground school where the event was held.

While celebrity chefs Tom Colicchio (head judge on Top Chef/proprietor of Craft Restaurants) and Alfred Portale (chef/co-owner of Gotham Bar and Grill) chatted, other bold names mingled and nibbled on the delicious hors d’oeuvres, perfectly served at the cocktail party. Many sipped on drinks made from the newly launched ‘Sag Harbor Rum’, an aromatic spirit and enjoyed wines poured by Wolffer Estates before they moved on to a four-course dinner, that took place inside the school.

The super talented duo, Matthew Broderick and his lovely wife Sara Jessica Parker showed up to pay their respects to Top Chef, Colocchio and his wife, Lori Silverbush (filmmaker/A Place at the Table) who were being honored that evening for their passion and participation in fighting hunger in the US.
