Millennium caught up with Donna in LA to find out about her inspiration:
MM: How did you know you wanted to become a designer?
Donna Mizani: As a small child when people would ask me ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’ my answer was always “A FASHION DESIGNER”! I only wanted to be in Fashion and that was it for me.
MM: What inspired your new collection?
Donna Mizani: My latest collections are always inspired by the Donna Mizani girl! I stay true to my brands aesthetic and continue to create and design for my market. I take what works for me/my brand and reinvent it each season.
MM: Do you like being a designer based out of LA?
Donna Mizani: I absolutely love being a LA designer! Growing up on the east coast, I have the advantage of knowing what a west coast girl and east coast girl want. I split my time between both coasts so I get to keep my thumb on the fashion pulse that is changing season to season.
