Set in Greater Miami’s upscale northernmost neighborhood of Aventura, Hilton Aventura Miami welcomes locals, leisure and business travelers, as well as groups, with its well-appointed accommodations, a robust culinary program, artful touches, premium business services and vibrant lifestyle amenities.
Millennium Magazine experienced a stay at Hilton Aventura Miami, the newest property in the Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio that elevates the benchmark for hospitality.
Accommodations were in late spring, just as snowbirds were returning north, and locals were beginning to venture out more with Florida temps rising and pandemic fears fading. The hotel was pleasantly calm with a fair amount of visitors. The lobby wasn’t bustling and the pool deck wasn’t packed. However the hotel since its opening has consistently been booked by guests looking for a getaway. NBA great Dennis Rodman is said to be a frequent guest who enjoys having breakfast there.
This upscale hotel debuted in spring 2021 as a new build to expand luxury lifestyle in Aventura with well-appointed guest rooms and suites. The hotel’s pristine white and gray exterior wraps an interior canvas of grays and warm neutrals with metallic highlights. Many boast floor-to-ceiling windows, providing sweeping views of South Florida. Room features include a segmented leather headboard and modern white couches and desks offset by black and white flooring, accents and artwork.
The 208-room property includes 15,000 square feet of event space, a grand ballroom, and meeting rooms, while multiple exterior decks offer an elevated level of business and recreational luxury. The centrally located hotel provides quick access to Aventura Mall, Sunny Isles Beach, and Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino. Easy access to Miami International and Fort Lauderdale International airports makes the hotel an idyllic home base for exploring all South Florida offers.
The heart of the hotel is on the seventh-floor. Its lobby over looks Aventura with its elevated deck that includes its signature restaurant, Gala, as well as MuseBar, Hilton Executive Lounge, The Reserve, Library and an elevated pool deck with skyline views and private cabanas.
With the lobby on the seventh floor, it smartly separates hotel guests and lower level ballroom guests preventing the hotel from having a bustling and overflowing lobby.
The two signature locations, Gala and MuseBar, are inspired by the Muse’s role for the ideas, influence, entertainment, and inspiring creative endeavors. Gala serves a South American-inspired menu reflective of Miami’s love of fresh seafood and tapas. Meals are $31 – $50 per person and the restaurant has a rating of 4.7 on Open Table.
Complementing Gala is MuseBar, a busy bar offering floor-to-ceiling views of Aventura, specialty cocktails and light bites in a refined yet spirited setting highlighted by a featured centerpiece of silver sculptures suspended high above the bar. MuseBar makes a great afterwork or early evening spot to catch up with friends.
The Pool Bar offers hand-crafted salads, sandwiches and other light bites, along with colorful cocktails servicing the poolside cabanas by day and offering an after-dinner retreat by night. Morning breakfast poolside is a nice way to start the day, sitting in the shade with a breeze. For breakfast we recommend the pineapple upside down pancakes. The fresh Belgian waffles and challah French Toast are just as delightful.
Before heading out the hotel, guests can stop off at The Reserve for Starbucks coffee and other on-the-go snacks and refreshments.
With Aventura sitting perfectly smack dab in-between Miami and Fort Lauderdale International Airports – exactly 12 miles from each airport – it’s the ideal jump off locale to the hottest attractions in the region. Yet, one wouldn’t have to go very far with some of the coolest spots right in town.
The iconic Gulfstream Park, South Florida’s premier horse racing destination is just minutes away. Enjoy lunch at Ten Palms Restaurant and feel the adrenaline rush as you watch races and competitors in action. The lobster roll is a filling sandwich for a summer day at the races.
Just across the way from the hotel is Aventura Mall, recognized as one of the best luxury shopping centers. The mall features incredible storefronts, designer shops, ample artworks and installations, as well as specialty shops and gardens throughout the property.
Hilton Aventura Miami’s “Shopping in Style” package and partnership with Bloomingdales at Aventura Mall includes a dedicated personal shopper and other VIP perks.
