Spark Plugs fly under the stars at TORCHED every weekend until December 12th
Visiting a mechanic is usually precluded by a sense of dread, besides the fact that it isn’t much fun irrespective of the final tally. But when that body shop is a global event and pop-up sensation that fuses theatrics, molecular gastronomy, and fire-wielding fun to be had by all, your past experience with mechanics is just that–in the past.
The renowned L.A.-based Gastro Garage will open an 8-night event on the rooftop of the W Hollywood Friday and Saturday nights starting October 16th thru November 14th. The blowtorch-powered evenings will feature an 8-course experiential menu with curated cocktail selections to enjoy upon arrival and during table-side prepared meal. All of this while taking in breathtaking views of Los Angeles. The rooftop has been reimagined to resemble a drive-through auto service bay, complete with oil drums, hubcaps, vintage motorcycles, and rock ‘n’ roll music and videos playing in the background.
As seen on the Bravo, Food Network, and Travel Channel, The Gastro Garage deconstructs classic into savory donut sliders, skewers, and sides filled with nitrous foam in a variety of flavors and torched to perfection with gourmet toppings, finishing oils, purees, and spices. Upon arrival to the multi-sensory adventure, guests are greeted by “Gastro Mechanics” clad in welding masks that guide them through the process, all while wielding giant blow torches with flames flying high. For the final dessert course, guests are escorted from their tables to covered cabanas surrounding the pool where they can recline on sofas while savoring the LA skyline and view of the Hollywood Hills.

Each ticket is inclusive of all food, a shot of Bullet, and a smokin’ specialty cocktail from The Chainsmokers’ Jaja Tequila, and a photo-op upon arrival. A cash bar is also available.
