Literally, within seconds, a quick stroll from the hotel across J.E. Irausquin Boulevard and you’re there. Once you kick off your flip flops, you’ll feel the soft warm sand slip between your toes, as you walk toward the Caribbean Sea. The white sand glistens so bright, you’ll find yourself squinting your eyes as you feel the sun radiate on your skin.

Eagle Beach is second in the world behind Baia do Sancho, Brazil. The water here is crystal clear and it is the widest beach in all of Aruba with the whitest, softest sand.

Amsterdam Manor, an upscale Dutch Colonial–style resort overlooks Eagle Beach. It was built in 1989 by the famous Dutch architect Jan Hubert. The property is quaint with its yellow structure and bright orange roof, it combines old-world charm with the most modern comfort found. The staff here are welcoming and friendly, ensuring a family-owned personal touch.

The Manor offers refined studios with complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screens, kitchenettes, and balconies or terraces. Upgraded studios feature whirlpool tubs. The 1- and 2-bedrooms suites have full kitchens, and living areas with sofa beds. Some studios include sea views.

There are 2 restaurants, including 1 on the beach, and 2 bars, plus an outdoor pool and a kids’ pool. There is room service available and kids age 11 and under stay at no charge with an adult.

Breakfast and parking are free.

A stay here was had in a first floor, one-bedroom studio with living room, kitchen, front and rear entrances as well as a dining patio outside the entrance. The resort pool with its freshwater waterfall was directly in front of the suite, and beach just a minute walk away. Guests may appreciate the large bathrooms, especially the oversized shower.

All rooms offer unique elegant furnishings, a colonial tropical setting, spacious balconies or terraces, fully equipped kitchens in an relaxing holiday atmosphere.

Passions on the Beach, the Manor’s seaside bar & restaurant was quite the  surprise. The drink & dish menus will have you coming back for more as you enjoy the freshest island flavors from the highest quality meats, to irresistible seafood and vegetarian dishes.

Passions sits just across the street from the resort, offering lunch, dinner, wine, and cocktails. Here you can have breakfast by sunlight or dine beachside by torchlight.

During the visit here, the beach was not crowded and there was plenty of room to get a spot of your own, especially under a native Fofoti tree which are common throughout the island. The island itself, is a tropical paradise. Aruba is a place with gorgeous scenery, and a stunning climate.

The resort is located on Aruba’s west coast and is constructed in such a way that the sunset can be enjoyed from every corner of the property. It is secluded from the high-rise hotels, but not far from general tourist facilities. It’s just a half mile from the high rise and low-rise hotels, casinos and nightclubs. Restaurants and a massive market are within walking range, and it is minutes away from main shopping areas.
