Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences

Waking each morning to the sound of ocean waves crashing on the shore outside Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences brings an immediate smile to your face. While laying in the king size bed of the master suite, you’d rise from fresh crisp white sheets to immediately look out onto the balcony to take in that breathtaking view of the Sea of Cortez.

You turn and your feet touch down on the cool ceramic tiled floor as you walk onto the patio to feel a breeze rush across your face. With the sun above and the air warm, it is a perfect start to a new day for fun and adventure here in Cabo San Lucas Mexico.

Hacienda Encantada brings the finest Los Cabos luxury experience and offers an optional all inclusive stays. The resort pairs exquisite suites and private villas with superior service, traditional Mexican architecture and breathtaking landscapes.

Perched high in the Baja cliffs the resort provides views of Land’s End, the rugged Baja coastline and the unexpected occasional dance troupe of giant humpback whales seen leaping out the waters  from your balcony.

The resort perfectly blends Mexican culture and architecture with luxurious details. There are warm earth tones throughout the property, helping you to relax in peaceful ambiance.  Handcrafted textiles and furnishings from Guadalajara evoke traditional Mexican style while vibrant paintings, colorful accents and hand-crafted rugs create an inviting retreat for an authentic cultural experience.

Millennium Magazine made its visit while strict pandemic rules were in place, but that didn’t take away from the experience, and the resort took every care to make guest stays as safe and comfortable as possible.

Their luxury suites offer guests a choice of a king or two queen beds. Millennium Magazine experienced the one bedroom master suite where a couple can indulge in serene luxury. It features a spacious bathroom, a whirlpool, and a homey sitting area. There is quite a sizable kitchenette to cook your own meals, and guests can relax on  their very own private balcony with sweeping views to the surroundings of the beautiful Hacienda.

Millennium Magazine recommends the in-suite breakfast from Lola Mia Deli & Coffee shop. You place your order the night before for a waiter to bring breakfast and sit it up on the balcony where you can sip coffee and whale watch.

If you’ve come to Mexico to escape the stress you’ve left state-side, then you will want to reconnect body, mind and soul in their wellness spa and temazcal. Here you get to relax your senses with spectacular sea views while lounging by the pool or at the swim-up bar.

Shuttle service on golf carts are available upon request for guests who want to ride throughout the resort to specific locations. The property is hilly in some areas and much of the grounds are out in the wide open under the hot sun. Tip, if you request one for dinner at one of the restaurants or shuttle to town during dinner time, you may want to do so early for they fill up fast and waits can be quite long.

This dramatic destination offers seclusion, yet is still close to the best of the Baja. For the curious wanting to venture off resort in exploration of good eats, guests can visit the Marina Golden Zone through their Dine Out Privileges Plan which offers recommendations of resort-own restaurants.

For even more off-resort experiences we recommend Cabo Adventures for unforgettable experiences. Whether you have a thrill for ATV excursions, camel tours, swimming with whales and ocean sailing,Cabo Adventures will create an unparalleled adventure  that will make your vacation extraordinary as you discover all that Mexican nature has to offer.

As for whale watching, you’d be surprised that viewing could be better from your balcony. Taking a boat tour could be a hit or miss, and for Millennium it was a bit disappointing with few sitings. However, a day out on a whale watching cruise, on the open waters under the sun sipping champagne isn’t all bad!

The Baja Peninsula is outlined with sandy beaches and at its tip, its most famous landmark, ‘The Arch’ natural arch & rocky outcrops at Land’s End that is the area’s biggest draw.

To close out your stay, Millennium Magazine recommends the farewell sunset dinner at Los Riscos. A romantic dinner in the still of the night under the stars with the soothing murmur of waves crashing is a romantic way to end your experience.

Lola Mila is a quaint deli & coffee shop right at the grand entrance to the resort. They offers the finest selection of Starbucks™ beverages and a home made menu of sandwiches, baguettes, bakery and unimaginable desserts. It’s a great place to grab breakfast on the go or a light snack before boarding a shuttle for a long ride into the hills.

The resort is about an hour’s drive from SJD Airport. Direct flights from US airports are available, but return flights to the US are few and most have layovers.
