AdMonsters and FOLIO: recognized an inspiring, powerful and diverse group of professional women for their excellence, influence and impact in media and the businesses they serve at the 2021 Top Women in Media Awards on December 1, 2021 in New York City.

The Top Women in Media Awards recognizes excellence across all facets of the media industry. This year, nearly 100 influential women were honored in six categories — Change-makers, Up and Comers and Entrepreneurs as returning categories from previous years, along with new honors for Tech Trailblazers, DEI Champions and Magnanimous Mentors.

The ceremony, led by AdMonster’s Senior Editor, Lynne d Johnson, was an uplifting embodiment of women empowering women. “Honoring women for their hard work and achievements has never been more important. Because we women still face many of the same challenges we’ve always faced. We still have gaps to close and ceilings to smash, and the women in this room today are doing exactly that!”, said Lynne.

As the Honorees took the stage, each shared a piece of her journey, with themes about conquering fears, who inspires them, how they lead and what advice they’d leave for others. Among the Honorees present to accept their awards were Amanda Tan of Xandr, Angelique Jackson of Variety, Deborah Kadetsky of SHE Media, Laura Boodram of FatTail, Lauren Stephenson of GroundTruth, Samantha Calle of Xandr, Sara Badler of Dotdash, Sarah Main of WeatherBug, Shelley Emling or AARP and Tracy Kane with Endeavor Business Media.

Two outstanding women were honored with special recognition. The 2021 Catalyst Award was presented to Nancy Daniels, Chief Brand Officer, Discovery & Factual with Discovery, Animal Planet and Science Channel for driving exceptional growth for her business in the last year. Diana Horowitz, Publisher with fubo.TV was presented with the 2021 Lifetime Empowerment & Achievement Award for setting the standards and raising the bar for her innovation, creativity and leadership throughout her career.
